commercial work
Included below are two musical excerpts and a scored video excerpt. The musical excerpts are part of a series of projects done in conjunction with Dr. Hava Schaver, a clinical psychologist specializing in stress management. The first of these excerpts comes from a project sponsored by Taubman Centers, Inc., one of the country's leading retail developers, and resulted in a 14-track interactive audio CD featuring tips on relaxation and meditation to relieve stress during the holiday season. This interactive CD was distributed as a free gift to thousands of shoppers at more than 27 regional shopping centers nationwide.
The second musical excerpt comes from another interactive CD created by Dr. Shaver that focuses on the use of Bilateral Sounds (rhythmical sounds alternating between the left and right sides of the brain) to enhance mindful meditation.
The video excerpt is a 3-minute animated film on the origins of life on earth and exists as a permanent installation at the new Indiana State Museum. The music for this film was commissioned by Cortina Productions, which took the lead in designing the many interactive installations at the museum. This particular installation received the 2003 CINE Golden Eagle Award from the Professional Non-Telecast Division Arts and Exhibits Programs.
In addition to these projects, Zupko was also involved in creating a musical demo for a new product line from Eli Lilly and Company called "Arxxant."
For those seeking more musical demos, please refer to the main Music page and especially to the three most recent orchestral works as well as the Harpsichord Concerto, which can be found under the "Chamber and Ensemble" heading. Although these were commissioned specifically for the concert stage, they suggest musical possibilities for works in other media, especially film.
Those interested in employing the services of this composer are referred to Mr. Zupko's managing agent, Nova Lanktree at nlanktree@zupkoscore.com.
